There have been biographies of H.P. Lovecraft before, including Michel Houellebecq's Against the World, Against Life. But the most complete and fascinating look at the creator of Cthulhu may be yet to come. Lovecraft scholar S.T. Joshi, author of I Am Providence: The Life and Times of H.P. Lovecraft, just sold his ultimate look at Lovecraft's creative life and legacy.

Here's the blurb, from Publisher's Marketplace:

S.T. Joshi's H. P. LOVECRAFT: NIGHTMARE COUNTRIES, a biography of H.P. Lovecraft that is illustrated with photographs, documents, and other images and telling the story of Lovecraft's life — his birth and childhood in Providence, R.I., his early career as an amateur essayist and poet, his publication in the legendary pulp magazine WEIRD TALES, and his development of the Cthulhu Mythos in the last decade of his life — as well as the incredible popular and critical acclaim that he achieved after his death, with millions of copies of his books in print, his work translated into dozens of languages, many film adaptations of his stories, and his emergence as a pop culture icon, to Becker & Meyer, by Cherry Weiner at Cherry Weiner Literary Agency.

The link to publisher's marketplace doesn't work without a login, is there any other information besides that blurb? I'm curious whether this will be another mega-length biography like the 2-volume I am Providence, or if it'll be much shorter in text but more focused on images. BTW, for anyone interested in photos of Lovecraft himself, all the known ones are collected on this page.
