Thor: The Dark World may look like it's in the same fantasy Viking realm, but Thor's home world of Asgard has had a few massive upgrades for the sequel. For starters, it no longer looks like a gold jewelry box. Odin's palace is entirely more organic thanks to the work of director Alan Taylor and his crew. We've got over 70 stills from Thor 2 showcasing the Asgardian beauty, and yes that includes copious shots of Thor's hair.
What is this big, ugly gun made of? Is it carved from a magic tree limb? Or just metal made to fit their elvish woodsey theme?
It looks nice enough, but I find a lot of the production design generic, indistinct, and unexciting. Like the Chituri.
I wish it was more Jack Kirby distinctive and insane.
