The YA book-to-movie trend isn't showing any signs of stopping; according to THR, Universal has nabbed the rights to
Josin L. McQuein's upcoming novel Arclight. Set in the post-apocalyptic future, the remnants of society are trapped in the darkness behind a safety wall of light called the Arclight. Outside their security wall dwell the creatures called The Fade. It's told from the perspective of one teenage girl with no memory, but who will be the key to the survival of the remaining humans. Brian Grazer is going to produce and Matthew Sand (Ninja Assassin) will write the screenplay.

McQuein's book Arclight won't hit shelves until April 23, 2013.
