Brand new set footage from Joss Whedon's Avengers movie is finally showing the gang teaming up together. Watch Captain America and Thor tackle a pac of motion-captured baddies, get thrown out a window, and wield the mighty Mjölnir.

Here's the latest on-set sneak peek from the Cleveland set. Keep watching all the way until the end, when Thor lands a pretty high kick on an invisible object.

Here's that shot with a better color resolution for you. I kind of love that Thor is still rocking the red cape, can't wait to see what Tony will have to say about that. More Avengers action photos at Splash News Online.

Here's a video of Captain America getting launched out of a building, look carefully and you can see that he's holding on to his shield in the air!

If you poke through the wreckage you can spy one downed alien space craft. Not that we didn't know this before, but the presence of these ships only seem to triple confirm that the big bad in this movie will be the shape-shifting Skrulls. But we're certain this won't be the only villain (Loki, Tom Hiddleston, has already confirmed his involvement in The Avengers). One thing that's cool about using the Skrulls is that it opens the heroes up for a few good fake death scenes.

And finally let's end with a bang! Here is a massive explosion filmed a few days ago on the Avengers set, it basically blows up the entire street and flips a handful of cars over. Looks like Joss is having fun blowing shit up.
