The most comprehensive Green Lantern plot summary yet has hit the web... but can we trust it? The most famous X-Man might be cameoing in First Class. Time to celebrate All Spoils' Day!

None of that seems terribly unlikely, but still...I'd keep the grains of salt handy. [The Green Lantern Movie Blog]
Mark Ruffalo says that his interpretation of the Hulk will be significantly less dour and serious than those of Eric Bana or Edward Norton, and more like Bill Bixby's take on the character:
"We want him to be an everyman, not so dour. A little more charming or accessible," Ruffalo said. "We're still sort of working it out with the script. I'm not exactly sure what it'll end up being but we've talked quite a bit about the Bill Bixby version of the Hulk."
He also says Robert Downey, Jr.'s success playing a wittier, less serious kind of superhero is a big part of why he signed on for the project. [Digital Spy]
The movie will be bookended with sequences that reveal Captain America frozen in ice, which will lead nicely into The Avengers. Cap's classic comics costume - with the little wings and everything - will appear once in the film as a prototype costume when he's strictly there for propaganda reasons. All his actual superhero sequences will use the other costume we've seen, which is the work of Howard Stark. And the film will indeed be about Cap leading his elite team of Howling Commandos in a secret mission that involves Red Skull and the Cosmic Cube.
Because Chris Evans is so ridiculously ripped to play Cap, his scenes as the scrawny, non-serum-enhanced Steve Rogers are a bit of a technical challenge. Director Joe Johnston says they will either use a certain amount of camera trickery and clever angle selection, although they may just have to paste Evans's head onto a skinnier actor in post-production. Finally, the film might be known as The First Avenger in less America-friendly overseas markets. [/Film]
Chris Pine is reportedly a top choice of Warner Bros. to play Barry Allen, which is pretty much the exact same rumor we heard about Bradley Cooper, who later said he'd never heard anything. So, whether Pine is someone Warner Bros. wants or not, it's entirely possible he hasn't been approached yet for the role. [ScreenRant]
The Dark Knight Rises:
According to IMDb - so everyone should believe it! - Tom Hardy will play Gotham City cop Harvey Bullock in the new film. Assuming you're not dismissing this outright, definitely take it with heaps and heaps of salt, although I will admit Bullock was one of my first thoughts when I heard Hardy was joining the film. [Batman-on-Film]
X-Men - First Class:
Wolverine might be making a cameo appearance in the prequel, at least according to the Facebook update of one Georgia taxi driver:
I drove Hugh Jackman from X-Men To the Airport this morning. They are filming on Jekyll... Cool guy!
Jekyll Island is where the movie is shooting, so if it is a hoax, at least it's a fairly well-researched one. I wouldn't consider this official by any means, but this seems a whole lot more likely than, say, Chris Pine playing the Flash or Tom Hardy playing Harvey Bullock, just to name two things completely at random. [ComicBookMovie]
Sam Elliott says he hasn't been contacted about playing J. Jonah Jameson, but he thinks "it would be fun." [ComicBookMovie]
Longtime Columbia Pictures executive Matt Tolmach is leaving to start his own production company, and his first major job is producing the new Spidey movie. [ComicBookMovie]
Simon Pegg says there's no chance he'll play Henry Pym in Edgar Wright's long-simmering movie, but he would love to play the villain, as he's pretty sure that's the only role weird-looking Brits can play in Marvel movies. I don't know about that last bit, but as for him playing the villain...yes, yes, a million times yes. [View London]
Avatar 2 and 3:
Weta Digital, which handled the visual effects on the original, reportedly wants the sequels to be shot entirely in New Zealand. The live-action sequences in the original film were also filmed in New Zealand. As with all stories about New Zealand and filmmaking these days, this is all actually about the legal wrangling over The Hobbit, as you can see at the link. [AFP]

Screenwriters Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz explained what they see as the film's central mystery, and what makes the Kevin and Sam Flynn relationship tick. According to Kitsis:
For us we wanted to answer a mystery - which is what has happened to Kevin Flynn in twenty-eight years? Well we could obviously have him turn around and say ‘Well here's where I've been guys. Let me bore you for two minutes with exposition you won't remember.' We thought no, lets make it a mystery and lets discover it through his son… and what's interesting to us – what would it be like if your father was a legend. Kevin Flynn to us was Steve Jobs and Bill Gates all wrapped up into one and John Lennon. What if that was your dad and everyone is like, Just be as good as him… For us there was a lot of living up to who your father is at the same respect as being your own man and at the respect of finding out who your dad really was.

Vehicle designer Daniel Simon spoke extensively about the various machines in the new movie. Here's his take on the light cycles:
"There are different versions of the cycles for good guys and bad guys," Simon said. "The cycles are hybrids of person and machine. That's the challenge. We had to put so much effort into it. It's a personal weapon of the people living on the grid. It has a face, the front of the bike, and the lights are shaped to show that. The good-guy and neutral bikes have vertical lights, and the evil bikes have V-shaped lights to represent eyes and expression."

Here's a new clip:
Ghost Rider 2:
I realize not everyone is as psyched as I am for a Ghost Rider sequel teaming Nicolas Cage with the guys behind the Crank movies, along with Ciaran Hinds as Satan and Idris Elba as an alcoholic warrior monk — even if I can't imagine why. But what if I told you Nicolas Cage is playing two roles? Well, sort of, at least. According to co-director Brian Taylor, Cage will be playing both Johnny Blaze and his Ghost Rider alter ego, which is a departure from the first film. Here's his heavily sic'd explanation:
"Zarathos is the spirit of vengeance that inhabits john blaze when he becomes ghost rider. unlike the 1st movie, where the rider was stiffly acted out by a various stunt guys, nic will be playing all the ghost rider stuff himself – and we are creating a whole physical language for the demon that is different from the human blaze."
I think I speak for everyone when I ask - does this mean they're setting Nic Cage's head on fire? [Collider]
Sam Elliott says he's pretty sure that, unlike General Ross in the Hulk movies, his part isn't being recast, it simply isn't in the new movie. [ComicBookMovie]
Men in Black 3:
Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger confirms she has a part in the new movie, and provides all the vital details on her role:
My name is Lilly. She's like a small villain role. I'm so excited because I get to die. I make an appearance. I say a couple of lines and then I die.

Here's a synopsis for episode 9, "Clap Your Hands If You Believe", which airs November 19:
IES! - While Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are investigating a UFO sighting, Dean is abducted from a crop circle. However, when he awakens, he discovers he isn't dealing with aliens, but fairies! Unfortunately, only Dean can see the fairy that keeps attacking him, which makes tracing and stopping them difficult. The brothers become even more perplexed when Sam's investigation leads them to a world full of elves, gnomes and a leprechaun.
The Sarah Jane Adventures:
Synopses are out for the final three stories of this series, which sound like they're actually going to try to out-epic "The Death of the Doctor." We'll see if they can pull it off, but points for gusto:
4: The Empty Planet
Part One: Clyde and Rani wake up one day to discover that they are the only survivors of the human race, as the alien-busting adventures series continues. The whole of Earth is empty – even Sarah Jane has vanished. But a deserted London holds terrors of its own. Strange forces lurk in the shadows, as mysterious visitors approach...
Part Two: Clyde and Rani meet their enemy as the Robots arrive on Earth – but what do they want, and where has the human race gone? It's a race against time, but without Sarah Jane's expertise, Clyde and Rani must trust each other like never before if they're to save the whole world.
5: Lost In Time
Part One: A harmless investigation turns into an epic quest through time, as the alien-busting adventure series continues. Sarah Jane and the gang are separated by the enigmatic Shopkeeper and find themselves in three different time-zones throughout history, thrown together with ghosthunters, Nazis, Tudors ... and a mysterious parrot called Captain.
Part Two: While Sarah Jane tries to prevent a future tragedy, Clyde has to take on the Third Reich single-handed. But Rani discovers to her horror that the march of history cannot be stopped, as a greater danger from the Time Vortex threatens to consume them all.
6: Goodbye, Sarah Jane Smith
Part One: Sarah Jane faces her saddest day, as she realises that no one can defend the Earth forever, as the alien-busting adventure series concludes. She's saved the world so many times but must now hand over the task to safer hands. Clyde and Rani are distraught, and the forces of darkness gather as the inevitable day approaches.
Part Two: Sarah Jane has gone – but a new regime begins at Bannerman Road! Clyde and Rani must face the fact that nothing lasts for ever – but can they still unite as a team, to face a new and deadly threat from Outer Space? Or is the old gang finished for good?
A bunch of set videos have surfaced from the filming. Here's one of them - you can see six more at the link. [SpoilerTV]
Here's a promo for next week's episode, "Ambush": [ComicBookMovie]
Here's a longer synopsis for the November 19 episode, "Patriot", which guest-stars the forever badass Michael Hogan (Colonel Tigh!) as Deathstroke:
In an effort to protect the rest of the team, Oliver (Justin Hartley) decides to register for the Vigilante Registration Act to see what the government plans to do with the new law. As he suspected, it was a trap to lure superheroes to an undisclosed location where he is confined to a jail and subjected to a battery of brutal tests under the supervision of Col. Slade (guest star Michael Hogan, "Battlestar Galactica"). Aquaman (guest star Alan Ritchson) and his new wife Mera (guest star Elena Satine) team up with Clark to free Oliver. Lois is frustrated when Clark continues to push aside her offers to help the team and sets out to prove she can play with the big boys.
Elliot Gould, who's probably best known these days for the Ocean's 11 movies (but I'm way too snooty to admit I know him from anything other than Robert Altman movies), has reportedly joined the show in a recurring role. American Beauty/American Pie actress Mena Suvari is also reportedly joining the show for one episode as a character called Dice. There's more at the link. [AICN]
