The Cabin In The Woods, the genre-smashing horror film directed by Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) from a script he co-wrote with Joss Whedon, has been delayed yet again. And this time, we're not even sure when we'll see it.

Cabin was originally supposed to come out last February, but was delayed until next January so that it could be converted to 3-D. By all accounts, that never happened, but the film was caught in limbo due to MGM's financial troubles. And now, its January release has been cancelled, and this time there's no replacement release date. At this point, we'd be grateful for a direct-to-DVD release of this project, which by all accounts is a clever reinvention of the classic "kids stuck in a cabin" horror trope, with lots of crazy monsters.
