Michael Bay has hinted a couple of times lately that Transformers 3 will be more subdued than the ADD-afflicted second movie. And recently, he told an L.A. crowd that there would be fewer robots - and fewer explosions - in TF3.

At an event to discuss the sound engineering behind these films, Bay said the third movie will still have a "crescendo ending." He adds:

It gets much more into the robot character. The last time you kind of met a few of the robots; this time you're gonna get a much cooler landscape.
