The Butterfly Effect 2 is pretty much a waste, except for this insanely sleazy moment. Can Nick travel backwards in time to his own bathroom sex, in time to stop his ex-girlfriend from bleeding out?

Sadly, the answer is no.

Nick has the power to alter the timelines - and travel backwards in time, on occasion - when he stares at a photo of his own past. The only cost is, he gets a slight nosebleed, and everything he changes goes bad somehow.

But this time around, Nick isn't able to home in on his washroom hookup with blondie fast enough. So he gets slugged and wakes up getting head from a dude instead. This never woulda happened to Ashton Kutcher (who starred in the original.)

But The Butterfly Effect 2 is a good movie to think about in the wake of our discussion of Lost's time travel shenanigans. It's everything Lost has - thus far - managed to avoid. Tawdry timeline manipulation and confusing alternate histories that always go wrong. Although Lost has been doing the nosebleed thing, come to think of it. [IMDB]
