All this time I've been obsessing about the return of Bill Murray's Peter Venkman in the Ghostbusters 3, I completely forgot about Dana Barrett. Signourney Weaver voiced her opinion whether or not she's ready for more evil dog possessions, and her character's possible future with Venkman.
In an interview with MTV, Weaver revealed that not only had she been thinking about a Ghostbusters sequel, but that she was going to talk to Bill Murray about it next week. Whatever happened to those two crazy kids anyways? Did they get married, move out of the city, buy a couple chocolate labs, and now they only fight over silly things like forgetting to separate the recycling? Weaver wonders as well.
Does he think we got married or something?” she laughed. Weaver wasn’t sure if there was a place for her in the story but she did think someone deserves a spot. “I would hope that my little Oscar would be one of the Ghostbusters even if I’m not in it!”
Alas, it sounds like she hasn't really been approached for it yet, but then again the script (penned by The Office writers) still hasn't been written.
