Dave Elsey was asked to join the Australian branch of the Jim Henson Creature Shop just two months before the launch of Farscape. Although the shop had completed sculpting on Rygel and Pilot, other characters required resculpting, and some looks hadn’t been designed at all. Elsey not only managed to complete the designs, he consistently raised the bar for creating intricate and visually stunning alien life. Elsey’s fierce attention to detail earned him a place as the makeup designer for Revenge of the Sith, where he aimed to remain true to the franchise's visual traditions while updating the makeup and costuming techniques.
