Ask Richard Kadrey anything you want about Sandman Slim

In February, the io9 Book Club read Richard Kadrey's Sandman Slim. Now Kadrey is coming to answer your questions about the book (and the sequel) tomorrow, here in the comment section of this very post.

He'll be popping into the comment thread on this post tomorrow, Thursday March 3, between 3-4 Pacific Time. Start posting your questions for him now, and he'll answer as many as he can.

Please be polite!

NOTE: If you're wondering what this whole io9 Book Club thing is all about, you can read about our past meetings here. We meet once per month to discuss a book, and then the author joins us for a chat. In March, we're meeting on the 29th to discuss God's War by Kameron Hurley (look for a post soon on how you can get this as a free e-book from Night Shade Books).

Annalee Newitz If I could flag your photo as inappropriate, I would. I really find it offensive and not funny at all. This is not an animation of a first person shooter or a fake gun. That is a real person and a real gun.

I'm quite serious about this. If the author submitted this as a joke I still would have a problem with it. I know the classic National Lampoon "Buy this Magazine or we will shoot his dog" but this is not a humor publication looking to alarm and push the envelope.

I don't know the book, maybe Sandman Slim is all about person holding a gun to the head of a guy with glasses. If it is I don't want to read it.

I've been impressed with your thinking and editorial judgment on several issues. However in this case I think your selection of this photo is in poor taste and reflects poorly on IO9, which is one of my favorite blogs. Please, please reconsider this photo. I feel very strongly about this.
