Morning spoilers is ready to gorge you on sugary info and rumors. For one thing, we have dozens of new Cloverfield production stills that don't reveal much. (But at least they're less blurry than trailer screengrabs.) Also, there are spoilers for Day The Earth Stood Still, Smallville, Chuck and Lost. Click through to let the spoiling begin.

  • Casting spoiler: Kathy Bates (Misery) and Jaden Smith (Pursuit of Happyness) joined the cast of The Day The Earth Stood Still. [Bloody-Disgusting]
  • Michael Emerson, who plays the evil Ben on Lost, doesn' t think it was his coffin Jack was crying over at the end of season three. [BuddyTV]
  • Smallville spoilers: DC comics superheroine Black Canary appears for the first time, when Lex Luthor pays her to capture Green Arrow, whom she's married to in the comics. Not surprisingly, sparks fly. Clark's cousin Kara still has amnesia and is going by "Linda." Lex Luthor gets shot but suffers no ill-effects other than some introspection. When the newly superpowered Pete Ross comes back, he won't be happy that so many people know Clark's secret. And finally, Chloe confronts Lex's dad Lionel about his motivations. [Buddy TV]
  • The last two Chuck episodes air Jan. 24. In one, a CIA agent tries to discover Chuck's identity, leading Casey and Sarah to lock him in a permanent holding cell for safe-keeping. In the other, Russian arms dealers are meeting in L.A., and Chuck realizes one of them is Casey's ex, who's about to marry someone else. Chuck encourages Casey to fight for his woman. [SpoilerTV]
  • Yet another person who's seen Cloverfield adds to the "blind men describing an elephant" monster spoilage: it's grey, not green, has a human-ish head and sports four legs plus vestigial crab legs that point the wrong way. Oh and it has two red puffing lobes on hits head. Also, the Slusho! and Tagruato viral marketing stuff basically doesn't show up in the movie at all. [Unfiction Forums]
