Unsatisfied with the real ending of Lost? Then check out these three alternate possibilities brought to you by the cast, Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse, and Jimmy Kimmel.
This was all part of Jimmy Kimmel's Aloha to Lost special that aired after the finale. Another important moment that happened on this show was when Kimmel was interviewing Harold Perrineau. After calling him Michael and thanking him for killing off Ana Lucia, he asked him why Michael wasn't in the, spoiler, big finale gathering with all the rest of the characters seemingly going to heaven. His answer: because Michael was still wandering around with the rest of the dead people still stuck on the island forever, whispering.
So there, that's an answer, or something.
DISCUSSION
It may just be me, but I found the whole Kimmel special really kind of hollow and thrown together. It really should've been 2 hours long in my opinion. They weren't able to spend any appreciable amount of time with any of the actors, and then they wasted 10 minutes on what I thought were merely okay sketches as 'alternate' endings.
And what's up with Naveen Andrews never having watched the show aside from the pilot? I really liked Sayid, but I'll never be able to look at him the same knowing that the actor apparently didn't give a rat's ass about the show.
