Morning SpoilersIf there’s news about upcoming movies and television you’re not supposed to know, you’ll find it in here.

A new hoodie probably doesn’t give us a glimpse of Spider-Man’s Civil War costume. There’s plans for a lot of characters in Avengers: Infinity War. Pacific Rim 2 still lives. Arrow’s executives firmly deny recent rumors about Felicity’s fate. Plus, Princess Leia in Star Wars Rebels, and new Deadpool footage. Spoilers Get!

Thor: Ragnarok

Following the recent rumors that she is in talks for the film, Bruce Banner/Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo has seemingly acknowledged that Cate Blanchett is involved in the movie, and is in fact playing a villain (rumored to be either Hela or the Enchantress, who are two prominent Thor villains):

I’m so thrilled. I saw her at the Governors’ banquet here and heard that maybe she was circling, they were talking to her about the part, so I ran up to her and I was like, ‘Please, please, please make this work!’ She’s just one of the best, and to have her play a baddie is going to be really exciting.

Captain America: Civil War

Images of a hoodie being sold by Merchoid have emerged, prompting speculation that they give away Spider-Man’s appearance in the film. The hoodie leaked ahead of announced reveal date of this Friday, January 15th, being held because according to the retailer, there were details that couldn’t yet be officially unveiled. This lead to rumors that Marvel would be officially unveiling the appearance of Spider-Man at some point this week, but unsurprisingly, the hoodie doesn’t really tell you anything.

Unless you were going to be surprised that Spider-Man’s costume is red and blue, and features webbing patterns and a Spider logo. Or maybe Spider-Man’s costume in the movie is a hoodie?

Avengers: Infinity War

Speaking at Wizard World New Orleans, the Russo brothers have confirmed that a quite frankly ridiculous number of heroes are going to appear in the movie:

We have so many characters we’re dealing with. We’re breaking ground on Avengers: Infinity War. We have a board with 67 characters on it.

The film will begin production in New Orleans in March. [Coming Soon]

Pacific Rim 2

Guillermo Del Toro has offered an update (and some hope) about the mecha/Kaiju movie sequel.

The movie’s social media account has released a few parody posters to tie in with the film’s close release to Valentine’s day.

This new TV spot has 100% more roundhouse kicking.

Producer Wendy Mericle has flatly denied the recent speculation that Felicity will become wheelchair bound and the CW version of the comic book persona Oracle.

That’s something we definitely talked about [doing] with Felicity in the beginning…. But yeah, it will not be Oracle, sadly. People have to tune in to see what happens.

The Flash

Andrew Kreisberg teases the future of Gorilla City:

I would liken the Gorilla City thing to Ra’s al Ghul. You know, you hear about ‘the man from Nanda Parbat’ in ‘[Arrow’] Season 1, and ‘the man who showed Malcolm the way,’ and then you met Nyssa, then in Season 3 you met Ra’s. So, it’s a long-term thing.

12 Years a Slave screenwriter John Ridley has said his Marvel TV series is still in the works:

The Marvel project is still very much alive... You look at Jessica Jones, and [Marvel’s] doing an interesting job of integrating [social consciousness]. I would say in general, graphic novels, their reason for existence is a little different. It’s about wish fulfillment, whether you’re talking about Peter Parker, a young, misunderstood kid trying to figure out his way; if you’re talking about Bruce Wayne, a man who’s dealing with the loss of his parents; whether you’re talking about Clark Kent, an orphan who’s trying to figure out what he’s meant to do without the guidance of his parents.

That’s not unusual for the graphic novel space, so I would just say I hope that I would bring an appropriate amount of reflective sensibility to whatever project I may or may not be involved with in the Marvel universe. But I do want it to be entertaining in its own right. American Crime is its own thing, I hope to continue with American Crime. I would relish the opportunity to work in spaces where it really is about straight entertainment.

Meanwhile ABC has confirmed that a second Marvel comedy series is in the works, after the confirmation of Damage Control arriving this season. [IGN]

Legends of Tomorrow

Victor Garber briefly discusses the scope of the series:

The ambition of this show is like nothing I’ve ever been a part of, you know, and I was on the Titanic! And that was pretty daunting too, but this is...I mean not that this is comparable, but in a way the production values of this show, I think when you see it, I think you’ll be impressed.

Here’s a short synopsis from the show’s Bizarro episode, called, err, “Bizarro”:

“Bizarro” – Kara faces off against her mirror image when Bizarro (Hope Lauren), a twisted version of Supergirl, sets out to destroy her. Also, Kara grows closer with Cat’s son, Adam (Blake Jenner), on SUPERGIRL.

Agent Carter

And here’s a synopsis from the second season’s third episode, “Better Angels”:

“Better Angels” – Peggy’s search for the truth about Zero Matter puts her on a collision course with her superiors as Howard Stark barnstorms in, on “Marvel’s Agent Carter.”
