I don't get it. Both studios must know that even a cameo from Spidey would result in mutual money-printing, as would just one Avenger appearing in Spidey's franchise. If they did a full merger in just one film, even if it were a terrible film, everyone involved could immediately retire and private islands, even the extras in the background.
