According to Variety, 3.3 million people sat down to watch the long-awaited adaptation on Sunday, marking the highest-viewed premiere of a new series for HBO since the first season of True Detective, which also hit the 3.3 million mark. While it’s not on the same level as the ratings behemoth that is a new episode of Game of Thrones for, it’s good news—hopefully Westworld can keep up the same level of intrigue to keep viewers hooked for five or more seasons.
