Then again, it’s hard to miss considering it’s 5 times the size of every other booth and filled with beautiful art. This year is no exception and three pieces in particular jumped out: the ladies of Indiana Jones.AdvertisementFor one reason for another, maybe it’s licensing or likeness rights, it feels like for every one Indiana Jones piece of art we get, there are 500 Star Wars pieces. Don’t get me wrong, I love Star Wars, but I love Indiana Jones too and it’s a franchise that never gets it due in the art community. And when it does, it’s always Indy himself. His kick-ass ladies are even rarer to see immortalized. Enter artist Dave Nestler, who did these three beautiful painting, all at the Acme booth, #5629.But that’s not all. Here are just a tiny sampling of the super cool stuff at the booth from The X-Files and Firefly, to The Simpsons and, of course, Star Wars.
