Has there ever been a movie as sugary as the live-action Cinderella? It's like stuffing your face with cake, until cake is all up inside your nostrils and you have a frosting-beard. And yet, this movie also has moments of actual emotion and believable characterization here and there, which make it surprisingly great.
This one's hard on a very personal level: Sarah Michelle Gellar is awesome, as always, but it's hard to really side with Cinderella over Belle. Feel free to come at me in the comments.

A whole handful of Cinderella clips have been tumbling out, each one more covered in sparkles and fairy dust than the last (no, really, Helena Bonham Carter is absolutely covered in sparkles). But no one shines more than Cate Blanchett as the Evil Stepmother, walking her cat Lucifer on a leash.
So far, the live-action Cinderella trailers have focused on showing how Disney's taking their animation, infusing it with glamour and swagger (in the form of Cate Blanchett, naturally), and bringing it to life. But now, we see what's being added to the plot to make it stand out.

The more we see of Disney's live-action adaptation of Cinderella, the more excited we get. This movie looks like magic on film. It's colorful, whimsical, but also downright chilling, thanks entirely to Cate Blanchett as the Evil Stepmother. We simply cannot wait to see this.
The very best part of Into The Woods is the super fast, sing-song exposition of the ensemble cast. This work is truly at its best when all the cast is crooning and joking together, and these new clips show it.
