The Valiant universe is never boring. With the events of The Book of Death barely over, the comics publisher has revealed that its nanotech-infused hero Bloodshot will be thrust 30 years forward into a post-apocalyptic future in Bloodshot Reborn #10 in a new arc titled “The Analog Man.”
The Valiant Comic Cinematic Universe took its first major step today as Sony Pictures announced a five-movie deal to bring the publisher’s heroes to life. First up: Two movies based on the X-Men-esque series Harbinger, two about the nanotech-infused assassin Bloodshot, and Harbinger Wars, a movie to combine them.
We're reaching the point where all comics, everywhere, are getting the live-action treatment. But that's not always a bad thing! In this case it means we're getting Bloodshot, Shadowman, and Archer & Armstrong.
Even if you've been experiencing some vampire fatigue lately, Cherie Priest's smart-mouth, sticky-fingered protagonist is still worth spending 350 pages with. Instead of trying to reinvent the vampire genre, Priest just gives it new life and potency.
