Life ain't easy for a Pixar director. Known for their arduous pre-production process, entire films crews can shift if the Pixar top brass doesn't like what's happening. And now The Good Dinosaur director Bob Peterson has been axed from his own feature.
Just recently we discovered that Pixar's next big dino project would take place in an alternate history where the asteroid never hit, and dinos and humans live together in present day. It sounds wild and the idea was allegedly hatched by Peterson himself. But today the LA Times has confirmed the whispers that Peterson has been asked to exit the project this summer due to a number of unmade creative choices. This was Peterson's first solo directing project, so it's sad that he won't be able to see it through. But with Pixar's track record, maybe that isn't such a terrible thing?
