Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Making Star Wars have a roundup of rumours concerning the villains of the movie. They say that Kylo Ren is the main villain of the film — and at one point shoots down the Millennium Falcon, boarding it with Stormtroopers — there are several other antagonists. Andy Serkis is purportedly playing a villain named "Uber", although that is likely a codename, who is set up as the second villain. There's also Captain Phasma, played by Gwendoline Christie, who has a minor, "Boba Fett like" role in the movie that would expand later on in the trilogy.

They also mentioned two other antagonist roles — Domnhall Gleeson as an Imperial Officer (without the previous connection that he may be the conflicted son of Luke Skywalker), and an undisclosed actor playing an Imperial General. As ever, take all this with a pinch of salt. [via Blastr]

Spider-Man

Vincent D'onofrio has an expressed an interest in playing the Kingpin again — but this time not against Daredevil, but the character's other long-term nemesis, Spider-Man:

“That would be super-cool, yeah,” said the actor. “To be able to kick Spider-Man’s butt would be awesome.”

“But we just don’t know about those things,” he continued. “Those are all the Marvel secrets that they never tell us until they need us, so… Yeah, I would do it. I would do it in a second.”

Mad Max: Fury Road

Tom Hardy has signed on for at least three more Mad Max movies — but whether those sequels happen depends on the success of the first movie:

As for the pressure, Hardy says it’s enormous. “I’ve never been more excited and out of my comfort zone.” He’s seen the film, and says it’s “fucking unbelievable”. He’s attached to a further three Mad Max films, though as he says, “Everything’s based on figures and how things are perceived. Inevitably it’s a business.”

Agents Of SHIELD

Jeff Bell reveals a new poster for “Afterlife” and chats to EW about Fitz and Simmon’s relationship and the introduction of the new Inhuman character Lincoln:

Fitz and Simmons are featured prominently on Coulson’s side, and there’s been a lot of focus lately on their different reactions to the events that have happened to the team. Does that get explored a little more?

With FitzSimmons, one of the things we’ve tried to do over the course of the year is split them up and bring them back together, and split them up and bring them back together. And they’ve really been on opposite sides of this whole alien thing, this whole, “can we trust Coulson?” “Are powered people okay?” And how they feel about Skye. And so they both have a hand in how this story plays out. It’s a way to sort of highlight the story their characters have been on for the last number of episodes, and for Fitz especially, who’s really not been out on missions since last year. Getting Fitz out and doing something different is fun. We’re getting into the home stretch here, the last few where everything sort of picks up momentum, and hopefully all our different threads come together in a surprising and magical and yet logical way.

I know he’s not technically represented in the poster, but because he’ll have a big part in this episode, can you talk a little bit about Luke Mitchell’s character and what meeting him will mean for Skye?

Meeting Luke’s character in the Inhuman world is just setting up a new dynamic. We’re taking her into a group with a whole bunch of different people. So far, we’ve seen that there’s a guy with no eyes, and there’s a woman who now is covered in thorns. And as in the X-Men world, there are a handful of people who look more like them, but a lot of them turn out to be just attractive people with powers. And we thought, “Hey, let’s have some of those as well!” [laughs] We were looking for a new character to come on, and Luke just really impressed us. He was a good actor, had a nice quality, and we felt he might be a good person to sort of usher Skye into this other world.

Montauk

This supernatural thriller from Matt and Ross Duffer has been ordered to series by Netflix. Here’s a brief description:

In the series, set in 1980 Montauk, Long Island, a young boy vanishes into thin air. As friends, family, and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces, and one very strange little girl. Montauk is a love letter to the 80s classics that captivated a generation.

Falling Skies

Game Of Thrones

Watchers on the Wall has a short new roundup of reviews of the first four episodes of Season 5. Entertainment Weekly is critical of the show's new additions:

Would-be kings and queens are shoring up their alliances for battle, which is smart for GoT, too. Having killed off so many characters, it needs to repopulate. But too many of the new faces look like they’re on the wrong show. When Cersei enlists a religious leader, the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce), to help her politically, his bald devotees, who carve stars into their foreheads, resemble cult figures from a Kevin Williamson drama. And when the show introduces Oberyn’s revenge-thirsty daughters (Keisha Castle-Hughes, Rosabell Laurenti Sellers, Jessica Henwick), they’re closer to B-movie bad girls than warriors.

While New York Daily News is positive about the pace of the season's first half:

Happily, and not surprisingly, “GoT” itself hits the frozen ground at a full gallop, with multiple dramas blossoming North and South.

Many shows are starting to run out of gas by Season 5. “Game of Thrones,” partly because it’s as cold-blooded as its characters in treating personnel turnover as the natural order, seems to have little trouble keeping its pedal to the metal.

Once Upon A Time

Spoiler TV has a set report from a fan discussing filming for the season finalé, which has this alleged description of a scene attached:

Emma has the dagger. Emma takes Regina’s place. Emma and Hook apparently kiss before pushing him away, then lightning hits her/the dagger and Emma vanishes. Everyone is confused and Snow is crying.

Before the above happens, Robin tries protecting Regina from whatever is attacking her, but is thrown back.

After Emma disappears, the dagger is left behind. Whatever is attacking Regina, Emma takes her spot. No body switching or anything.

Here’s a blurry picture of the knife in question:
