Terminator: Genesis will be featuring a younger version of the classic T-800, and since Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't getting any younger, a younger actor has been cast in the role.
Bodybuilder Aaron Williamson posted this image of himself as the T-800. This may very well be an unofficial fan-made image rather than an official image since Williamson has long been rumored for the part.
While he later took down the image, he did confirm to the site Terminator Fans that he has indeed been cast:
"I'm not really at liberty to discuss anything w/ regard to this part. My social media followers have been following my journey since I returned to the states from Iraq, which is why I shared that photo; my desire to overcome adversity has really moved people. Where I'm at in my life right now is destiny & it's truly a blessing. I grew up as a skinny kid watching the original Terminator & was fascinated by Arnold which is the man who inspired my career in fitness. To be a part of this production is a dream come true & a very special moment for me."
It's not clear whether we'll be seeing Williamson's face in the movie. Last month, Schwarzenegger explained in an interview that he would be playing an older version of the Terminator whose flesh had aged and that he would be fighting a younger version of himself. Another bodybuilder, Roland Kickinger, was cast as a T-800 in Terminator: Salvation, but was ultimately cut from the film, replaced by a CG version of Schwarzenegger. So it is possible that we will be seeing a younger, computer-generated version of Schwarzenegger's face on Williamson's body.
