We may not have to wait too much longer for more Dr. Horrible — rumor has it the script for the sequel could be done by the end of this year. Which means Neil Patrick Harris might be putting on his evil goggles one more time in 2013!
One of the brilliant minds behind the webseries, Maurissa Tancharoen Whedon, explained to MTV that production behind Dr. Horrible 2 could start as early as next year.
"We're working on it...The goal is that we are going to be shooting next year, and getting the script and everything done at the end of this year," Tancharoen says. "So that is something that we're actually physically working on now."
She also dropped hints to expect lots of extras with the new musical saying, "We'll invent something that will make our lives difficult but we'll also have a grand time doing it." However, Maurissa is also currently working on the hotly anticipated S.H.I.E.L.D. show, so there's no telling when this project will air. Sing-along blogs this charming shouldn't be rushed. Fingers crossed!
Until then you'll have to make do with the Dr. Horrible TV premiere on October 9th at 9pm at the CW.
