What's new at the comic shop tomorrow? As far as first issues, we have Before Watchmen: Rorschach by Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo, Michael Avon Oeming's superhero comic The Victories ("Not long from now, all that will stand between you and evil are the Victories-six heroes sworn to protect us from crime, corruption, and the dark"), and Jim Zubkavich's adaptation of the Pathfinder fantasy series for Dynamite.
Also in the grab bag are new issues of Avengers Versus X-Men, Batwoman, Green Lantern (preview here), Wonder Woman, Saucer Country, Fatale, Saga (interview with the creative team of Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples here), The Walking Dead, Daredevil, and Uncanny X-Force.
For graphic novels, we have a compilation of Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams' Green Lantern/Green Arrow 1970s stories, a collection of Frank Miller and Bill Sienkiewicz's trippy 1980s miniseries Elektra: Assassin, Fred Van Lente and Tom Fowler's Hulk: Season One featuring "the introduction of a new Hulk villain that will continue to haunt both him and his alter ego, Dr. Bruce Banner, in present continuity."
Also out in trade are the first volume of Ultimate Spider-Man, the fourth volume of Uncanny X-Force, and Matt Dembicki's Xoc: Journey Of A Great White:
Xoc explores the ocean's wonders through the eyes of a great white as it treks from the Farallon Islands off the coast of California to the warm waters of Hawaii some 2,300 miles away. Along its journey, the 17-foot shark encounters natural prey and predators - from skittish seals to brazen orcas-as well as man-made impediments that threaten not only the giant fish, but the balance of ocean's ecology.
