Publish Osamu Tezuka's "Unico" in English in Full Color: English-speaking audiences know the work of the late manga creator Osamu Tezuka thanks to English editions of comics like Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion, and Black Jack (and their various adaptations). Publisher Digital Manga is hoping to bring more of Tezuka's child-friendly works to English speakers, starting with Unico, a manga about a tiny unicorn with the power to help those who love him. Unico's stories stretch through mythological Greece, the Wild West, medieval times, and more. For a $35 pledge, you'll receive a full-color copy of Unico. For a $75 pledge, you'll receive a package of Unico goodies, including the book, a t-shirt, a sheet of color stickers, and a PDF of the Unico companion book.
Fame and Misfortune, a comic by Kel McDonald: Kel McDonald is the creator of the fantastic urban fantasy webcomic Sorcery 101, and her latest comics project sounds equally intriguing. Fame and Misfortune stars Rebecca, a bodyguard with supernatural powers hired to protect a cursed pop princess. For a $5 pledge, you'll receive a PDF copy of the 80-page comic, and for $10, you'll receive the printed volume.
Hero HoodieZ Nightwing Hoodie: We featured Hero HoodieZ fun Power Rangers hooded sweatshirts awhile back, and now the same folks are looking to bring Nightwing-inspired hoodies to life. For a $69 pledge, you'll receive a Nightwing hoodie (plus free shipping within the US), which is less than the post-Kickstarter hoodies will go for.
