At least one person thinks Shia LeBeouf will be back for more Transformers. Learn about True Blood's newest characters. Plus sequel news for Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, and The Incredibles!AdvertisementSpoilers from here on out! Top image from The Amazing Spider-Man.The Dark Knight RisesA giant fight scene is reportedly about to be shot on Wall Street. According to one report, the sequence will involve over a thousand extras and take place after Bane has taken control of Gotham City. The scene is reportedly set after months of chaos as the Gotham City police returns to take back the city from Bane's thugs. The sequence will reportedly feature Christian Bale and Tom Hardy in full costume. Although the existence of such a fight scene seems pretty reasonable — one of the extras involved described a similar sequence just the other day — the plot points mentioned in the report should probably be taken with a gran of salt until we know more. [On Location Vacations]AdvertisementA Warner Bros. representative says there's no truth to the earlier rumors that the New York City filming would somehow incorporate the Occupy Wall Street protests, which admittedly always seemed a bit far-fetched anyway. Specifically, the representative says no filming will take place in Zuccotti Park, which is where the protests are primarily based. [EW]Man of Steel Here are some more green screen photos of Henry Cavill and a Coast Guard helicopter. [Superhero Hype]The Amazing Spider-ManThe Lizard actor Rhys Ifans says he sees the movie as a father-son story, and he credits a lot of its emotional heft to director Marc Webb:AdvertisementSponsoredBut of course I'm really proud of it. I haven't seen it yet, obviously. But again, that was working with Marc Webb. Of course it's a huge franchise with a massive budget, but essentially for me it was a kind of father-son story and emotionally very domestic. So Marc brings some intimacy to it? Was that the sense you got? Absolutely. On paper, you'd think, "Oh, what a strange choice." But it actually makes total sense. He works very quietly with actors, with loving attention to emotional detail. And for a film painted on such a wide canvas, you have to have that forensic-ness to counter the size - to keep kind of an emotional balance in the piece. Hopefully, I think that's what we've achieved. We'll see.[Movieline]Star Trek 2I don't honestly think this was ever seen as anything other than a placeholder title anyway, but the sequel will reportedly not be called Star Trek 2. Of course, there's no word on what it will be called - presumably Star Trek followed by a subtitle, like all the Next Generation movies - so Star Trek 2 remains a decent enough placeholder. In other news, Zoe Saldana says she still has not seen a script, but is looking forward to getting back into character as Uhura. [Access Hollywood]Horizons/OblivionCaptain America's Hayley Atwell, Inglourious Basterds's Diane Kruger, and Underworld's Kate Beckinsale are reportedly reading for one of the two female leads in this ambiguously titled sci-fi film (it's either called Horizons or Oblivion, no one's really sure which) from Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski. The film already stars Tom Cruise as one of the few humans who still lives on a post-apocalyptic Earth, forced to ward off alien Scavengers while the rest of humanity lives in settlements above the clouds. These three actresses are reading for the part of a mysterious woman who crash lands near Cruise and causes Cruise to doubt everything he ever knew. Tree of Life's Jessica Chastain has already been cast as Cruise's wife, who lives in the cloud cities. [Deadline]Dark ShadowsRock legend Alice Cooper recently filmed a cameo as himself for the upcoming Tim Burton movie. Since the movie is set in 1972, that suggests he will be playing a younger version of himself, right at the beginning of his rock career. Or, I suppose, it might just be a conceit of the movie that Alice Cooper has a time machine, which if nothing else would be an inspired bit of randomness. Either way, Cooper is hired by Johnny Depp's vampire Barnabas Collins to perform at a private ball at his Maine mansion.[Hero Complex]Transformers 4 and 5When asked if Shia LeBeouf would return for the much rumored sequels, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley offered the first answer that isn't a variation on "Hell no." Here's her response:Advertisement"We'll see about that. I think so. He'll kill me for saying that."Whether he would (figuratively) kill her for revealing his actual plans or for just assuming he would do more sequels was left unclear, but I would assume it's the latter. [Los Angeles Times]Jurassic Park IVSteven Spielberg confirms this is still happening:Advertisement"The screenplay is being written right now by Mark Protosevich. I'm hoping that will come out in the next couple of years. We have a good story. We have a better story for four than we had for three..."[Empire Online]Laura Dern discusses returning as her first and third movie character, Dr. Ellie Sattler:AdvertisementAdvertisementI hear it's happening. I think it's got a ways to go. Steven is about to immerse himself in Lincoln, which is really exciting and something he's poured his heart and soul into for a long time. I'm so excited because Daniel Day-Lewis is playing Lincoln. Once that's finished, there's always been talk that my character is deeply involved in [Jurassic Park 4] somehow, but I haven't heard yet.[Slate]Indiana Jones 5Steven Spielberg also says another Indy movie will probably happen, though it's not something he's currently focused on:Advertisement"You have to ask George Lucas. George is in charge of breaking the stories. He's done it on all four movies. Whether I like the stories or not, George has broken all the stories. He is working on Indy V. We haven't gone to screenplay yet, but he's working on the story. I'll leave it to George to come up with a good story."[Empire Online]The Incredibles 2Brad Bird gives an eminently reasonable and artistically valid explanation as to why a sequel hasn't yet happened:AdvertisementAdvertisement"I think the reason it hasn't [happened] yet is because the studio would like me to do it, if there were another 'Incredibles.' And I've told them that I'm not really friendly to have someone else take away my child. I would like to think that I have several good ideas that could be incorporated into a next Incredibles, but I don't have a whole movie yet, and the last thing I want to do is do it just because it would open big, or something like that."I want to do it because I have something that will be as good or better than the original. 'Toy Story 2' was, to me, a perfect sequel, because it absolutely respected the first film but found new places to go without selling out its characters. So if I could come up with an idea that is to 'Incredibles' that 'Toy Story 2' is to 'Toy Story,' I would do it in a second."[FirstShowing.net]Independence Day 2Roland Emmerich confirms that he wants Will Smith back for the sequel:Advertisement"We've talked to him, but naturally he wants to see a script, which I totally understand."He also said we should "hold tight" and that the movie is "happening soon", but that seems rather unnaturally optimistic. [Daemon's TV]AdvertisementSpeaking of which, last night's World Series rain delay may mean "Novation" is bumped back to next week, in case Fox needs to air a potential Game 7 on Friday night. So if you desperately want to see Fringe this week, it's time to be a Texas Rangers fan, I guess. [SpoilerTV]The Walking Dead Here's a few more promo photos for the next episode, "Save the Last One." [SpoilerTV]True BloodThe fifth season premiere is reportedly called "Turn! Turn! Turn!", which hopefully means we're in for an appearance by vampire Pete Seeger. Anyway, filming is due to start at the end of November. [SpoilerTV]AdvertisementThe show is reportedly looking to cast a bunch of werewolves, including J.D., " a hard-bodied fiftysomething who isn't likely to share a water bowl with the new pack leader anytime soon" and who may or may not be Alcide's father. Other new characters this season include:Former pack leader Marcus' mother, Annie; a hot young she-wolf named Rikki who's determined to sniff out the deceased's fate; a couple of beta dogs charged with interrogating someone; Holly's teenage sons, Rocky and Wade; a corrupt judge; a humorless vamp named Cat; and a couple of sexy spoilers for Jason and Jessica's romance.[TV Line]Terra NovaCommander Taylor's son, who is due to show up around the same time as the 11th Pilgrimage, is reportedly so annoying that he makes Josh Shannon seem tolerable by comparison. So, something to look forward to! [TV Guide]ChuckHere's a promo for season five. Here are some promo photos from the season premiere, "Chuck vs. the Zoom." [Daemon's TV]AdvertisementOne issue this season will be how the Intersect is affecting Morgan's mind - and not just the fact that it's turned him into a bit of a jerk. You can also check out this link for some more speculation on that point. [TV Guide]Once Upon a TimeHere's a sneak peek for the next episode, "The Thing You Love the Most.' West Wing actor Richard Schiff has reportedly been cast as King Leopold, the father of Snow White, which presumably also makes him the husband of the Evil Queen. Leopold also reportedly figures into an unspecifed character's 'somewhat tragic (yet thoroughly romantic) backstory." [TV Line]Josh Dallas suggests Prince Charming may not be exactly who he seems to be, Prince and the Pauper style, cryptically teasing, "you find out where he came from and who his parents may or may not be and maybe he has a brother." Honestly, more cryptic hints could do with weirdly banal-sounding revelations like, "and maybe he has a brother." [TV Guide]SupernaturalHere's an extended promo for tomorrow night's episode, "Slash Fiction." Kim Rhodes has tweeted that she will be back for another episode as Sheriff Jody Mills. [SpoilerTV]The Secret CircleExecutive producer Andrew Miller teases what's ahead in tonight's Halloween episode, "Masked":AdvertisementAdvertisement"The Halloween episode is wickedly fun. Not just because they get to dress up in insanely sexy costumes, but it's just the one time of the year when they can let their freak flag fly and no one really notices, because everyone else is doing the same thing."[TV Guide]Additional reporting by Gordon Jackson and Charlie Jane Anders.
