Watch the first trailer for the rebooted vampire staple Fright Night. So far we're already seeing great upgrades (vampire Jerry locks ladies in his creepy prison) and a few nods to the original: the apple and the club seduction scene.
We don't need our vampires to go full blown 30 Days of Night to be frightening. The biggest appeal to vampires is that they are both sexy and dangerous (think Interview With the Vampire). But lately, vamps have either been sexy, stupid, or gruesome.
So it's great that this new Fright Night looks like it could restore the balance of vampire classics like The Hunger. Colin Farrell looks great as vampire Jerry, and we can't wait to see more of David Tennant as the "Peter Vincent" character from the original, now upgraded to a Criss Angel-type magician.
