You may remember Bear McCreary from his amazing soundtrack to the recent Battlestar Galactica television series. Now you can meet him and watch him record his next soundtrack at an ultra-awesome, secret location in Northern California.
McCreary is recording the soundtrack to military tactics PlayStation game SOCOM 4, and you're invited! Sony Computer Entertainment America is going to send one lucky North American-based io9 reader on an all-expenses-paid trip to hang out with McCreary during a recording session in California on June 3.
Here's what the PlayStation team has to say about McCreary's work on the game:
The SOCOM 4 developers were determined to round out the experience with a stellar soundtrack, one that would help define the franchise's next big release.
No stranger to blending genres of music, Bear's work on the soundtrack is largely influenced by Asian instrumentation, which corresponds to the Southeast Asian setting of SOCOM 4. Making use of ethnic soloists and gamelan ensembles, SOCOM 4's score will perfectly fit the mood and atmosphere of OpsCom and company's operation.
